Welcome! This website provides information regarding the new Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) project. The new MMIS project is in support of the Alaska Department of Health & Social Services (DHSS) priorities to promote technology for sustainable and effective health care delivery, to develop an integrated and comprehensive model of care and to promote rural infrastructure development. The new MMIS, known as Alaska Medicaid Health Enterprise, will be available to providers and recipients (also known as members) who participate in the medical assistance programs, including:

• Medicaid
• Denali Kidcare
• Home and Community Based Waiver Services
• Chronic and Acute Medical Assistance (CAMA)

The State of Alaska has initiated a Medicaid project that will offer better services for our providers and members. The Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) is sponsoring this development effort.

Mission:	The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) mission is to promote and protect the health and well being of Alaskans.
Vision:	The Division of Health Care Services (DHCS) administers the Medicaid program and has the vision to maintain access to health care and provide health coverage for Alaskans in need.
Execution:	The State of Alaska has the vision. Xerox Business Services has the experience to fulfill this vision.

July 1, 2013	CBT modules for Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) state staff and Xerox fiscal agent staff posted to the learning management system
July 1-30, 2013	"Boot Camp" in-person training for fiscal agent and DHSS state staff
August 1, 2013	Business transformation courses for DHSS posted to the learning management system
August 1-Sept. 27, 2013	Instructor-led training for enrolled medical assistance providers available
August 1-Sept. 27, 2013	Hands-on training exercises for DHSS and fiscal agent staff available
April 15-Aug. 15, 2013	DHSS conducts User Testing
August 15, 2013-Sept. 27, 2013	Operational Readiness Testing and final implementation preparations
