What is the Provider Enrollment Portal (PEP)?

PEP is an innovative online tool launched August 2, 2010 that makes it easier for new providers to enroll in the Alaska Medical Assistance Program. Visit http://www.medicaidalaska.com Training (CBT) module is also available at the site.

Who can use the Provider Enrollment Portal (PEP)?

PEP is only available to new providers at this time. You are considered a new provider if you meet one of the following conditions:

Is the Provider Enrollment Portal (PEP) part of Alaska Medicaid Health Enterprise, the new Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS)?

Although it has the look and feel of Alaska Medicaid Health Enterprise, PEP is not part of the new MMIS. However, new providers that enroll in the current legacy system via PEP will be automatically enrolled in Alaska Medicaid Health Enterprise and will not be required to reenroll.
