Will all Medicaid Billing Manuals be updated to reflect
MMIS payer practices and edits? If so will all Billing Manuals be updated prior
to the new MMIS, Alaska Medicaid Health Enterprise, going live?
Yes, Medicaid Billing Manuals will be updated to reflect any changes to MMIS payer
practices associated with Alaska Medicaid Health Enterprise. Updated manuals
will be available to the Medicaid provider community prior to the Alaska Medicaid
Health Enterprise go live date.
How will providers know how to use it?
Training will be available for providers to learn how to take advantage of the services
in Alaska Medicaid Health Enterprise. Plus, as implementation of Alaska Medicaid
Health Enterprise moves closer, this website will be updated with how a provider
can be trained. An Alaska Medicaid Health Enterprise training program will
be kicked off several months prior to implementation. Other services are available
to improve customer service and make participation in the Medicaid program more
efficient. These services will be introduced to the provider community through web
enabled and on-site training programs.
When will provider training start?
Provider training on Alaska Medicaid Health Enterprise will occur prior to implementation.
New Provider Billing Manuals will also be published prior to implementation of the
new system. Please continue to check the current Fiscal Agent website
http://medicaidalaska.com and the public MMIS project website
http://alaskamedicaid.info
for announcements regarding these activities.
