Welcome to Alaska Medicaid Health Enterprise  

Learn about developments of the new Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS). The new MMIS, known as Alaska Medicaid Health Enterprise, will be effective Spring 2012 and will be available to providers and recipients who participate in the medical assistance programs, including:

• Medicaid
• Denali Kidcare
• Home and Community Based Waiver Services
• Chronic and Acute Medical Assistance (CAMA)

The State of Alaska has initiated a Medicaid project that will offer better services for our providers and recipients. The Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) is sponsoring this development effort.

Mission:	The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) mission is to promote and protect the health and well being of Alaskans.
Vision:	The Division of Health Care Services (DHCS) administers the Medicaid program and has the vision to maintain access to health care and provide health coverage for Alaskans in need.
Execution:	The State of Alaska has the vision. Affiliated Computer Services has the experience to fulfill this vision.

  

Why?

This progressive MMIS system will incorporate innovative features and advancements that will grow as we grow.  The new features will provide enhanced services to our providers and allow them to perform Medicaid transactions real time, online.  Providers will be able to check claims status online!

What does this mean to our providers?

Alaska Medicaid Health Enterprise will provide an option to submit claims via the internet.  Regardless whether a claim is submitted on paper or electronically, providers will be able to look up the status of their claims online. 

How does Alaska Medicaid Health Enterprise benefit Medicaid recipients?

Recipients will be able to access the secure website 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week, to find providers or review benefit plan information.  Click on Features to see other benefits.
